This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Introducing students to music as a career option and creative pastime can allow me to educate them on making the most out of music! By introducing students to an abundance of different musical opportunities,(rhythm sticks, games) I can show them how to express their emotions with sounds, lyrics, and instruments, which can help them find people and lifelong friends through shared artists and interests; I can motivate students to take positive actions in and out of my classroom. I want my room to truly feel like a place where students can enter and feel safe, expressive, and 100% authentically themselves.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
