My Students

Remember how challenging math was in school? Let's change that for my students!

I have taught 1st grade for the past 7 years, and this year I have changed my teaching path to special education.

I will be teaching math to students with special needs in grades 2-5. I am very excited for this opportunity and can not wait to help this very exciting group of students be successful in math and in school in general.

My Project

My students need math games, place value cards and number lines. Since I have taught 1st grade for the past 7 years, I have a lot of early elementary teaching materials, but I do not have many materials to use with the older grades. Because of this I am requesting materials to help my students be successful in and out of the classroom. My students will use the number lines and place value cards to help with addition and subtraction. The games will help reinforce numerous skills that are needed in the classroom and for their IEPs goals and skills.

Your donations will help my students be able to reach their educational goals in and out of the classroom by allowing the students to have more hands on experience with the non-concrete mathematical skills.
