My Project

As my students work on this quilting project, they will not only be creating beautiful and cozy items for the daycare, but they will also be developing important life skills such as: fine motor skills, problem solving and teamwork and collaboration.

As they work on the quilt they will improve hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

They will use their critical thinking as they learn to navigate patterns, shapes, and colors, developing their analytical thinking. As they work together this will foster a sense of community and cooperation among students, as they share ideas, resources, and knowledge.

By quilting, students will learn valuable skills that can be applied to various areas of life. These skills will be transferable to other subjects and future projects.

Through the process of creating the quilts for the daycare, students will gain a deeper understanding of the needs and experiences of others. This will help them develop empathy and a sense of responsibility towards their community.

By making something with their own hands to donate to a worthy cause, students will experience the joy of giving and the value of selflessness. This will promote a sense of social responsibility.
