My Project

Our student council regularly records broadcasts to help deliver news and other information to the rest of the students at our school. We make do with the bare minimum, but I don't want to strive for the bare minimum with the students. I want them to gain experience with real tools that are used in the real world in order to better prepare them for future possibilities as they progress through the media program in the middle school and high school.

I am looking for a way to change and improve how our Student Council does their broadcasts.

Right now we have to have a laptop sitting on a box next to the camera and use a mouse to help them scroll through their script. It's functional, but the kids eyes dart up and down as they read the script and look at the camera. I want them to have the ability to use a teleprompter and learn how to more effectively create broadcasts. The tablet I am asking for will assist with bringing this project to life. The other items include teleprompting tools (teleprompter/device) as well as a way for them to be able to see and correct themselves easier with an additional monitor that can connect to our camera.
