My Project

Our students come from a variety of backgrounds. One thing that connects students to one another are video games. Students have a new found interest in eSports, game design, and programming due the prevalence video games have in their daily lives. Students are constantly playing video game or watching other play video games.

My goal is to use students' interests in video games to help them begin their careers in game design and programming.

In my classroom, an iPad, Apple Pencil, and Keyboard can be used to give students access to the technology to help them learn the skills needed to have a successful career in video game design. There are many applications that can be downloaded to help students learn how to design games. By allowing students the time and opportunity to learn these skills now in middle school, they can translate these skills to help them in a variety of careers in their future.
