My Students

Help create a learning environment that is rich in literacy! You can aide in this challenge by providing a dry-erase easel that is accessible to every student during an interactive lesson.

My kindergarten classroom is filled with 18 diverse children.

Each student comes from a different background and fills our classroom with a unique personality. We have created a classroom community in which each student feels comfortable and cared for. Many of the students that make up my class come from low and middle class families, many of which are broken homes.

My Project

My classroom is an outlet for many of my students. It is a place where they can express their creativity. Providing as many opportunities and experiences for them while they are students in my class is one of my main goals as an educator. By providing a simple piece of furniture, such as a mobile easel, I am able to create an environment that becomes more interactive, more student driven, and keeps them engaged. Creating lessons that involve interaction with my students aides in their academic growth. Allowing students access to instructional materials that are more on "their" level and allow them to manipulative objects throughout the lesson keeps them engaged and excited to be earning.

Making a difference in my students lives is my passion as an educator.

Simple tools to make each lesson more exciting and engaging is my focus when creating an environment in my classroom. In a world where kids time is dominated by stimulating objects, such as movies and video games, makes it harder for teachers to keep their students focused and engaged. Creating lesson that require student interaction and involvement help to keep them excited about learning. Help create a lifelong learner.
