Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

The purpose of my request is to create a safe learning environment for my students with the most up to date, hands on materials available. I want to create an environment that has very few distractions and partitions will serve to help the children stay focused on the task at hand. Overhead writing prompts will help the children to develop a strong vocabulary, in addition to developing strong writing skills. Overhead activities help the audio, visual and kinesthetic learner. They are colorful and hold the attention of the students. The overhead projector can also be used as a learning center, as well as flexible groups. All of the items requested will be used across the curriculum and directly used by the students. It is very important that the students have strong communication skills that will help them to be a part of an international society. Good communication and problem solving skills is critical for every student. Schools must focus on producing generations of internationally minded students who are capable of functioning in the 21st century. The classrooms must be equipped with the latest technology to help students process and transfer information needed to make their communities and the world a better place to live.
