Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

It is my philosophy that every child can learn and it is up to the teacher to guide them on this journey to success!

My students are a dynamic and energetic group of middle school children who cannot get enough of reading, writing and creating projects.

My students' socioeconomic status ranges from low to high socioeconomic; some of them do not have access to technology and basic school supplies at home such as pens, paper, and pencils. All of my students participate in the International Baccalaureate program at school.

My Project

The classroom supplies requested will help our students create and implement a Creative Writing Club for all to join. This club will help students excel, polish their writing and reading skills and build their confidence to help them succeed beyond the classroom.

It is my goal to guide my students and watch them grow to their full potential; future leaders!

Activities will be focused on how to develop leadership skills through reading and writing. Students will create and publish a quarterly newsletter, work on an anthology of their writings, to be published at the end of the school year, and a variety of other pieces.
