Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are unique and special in their own. We are located in Queens which is one of the most ethnically diverse areas in the world. Since they are in kindergarten for some of them it is their first time being in school. They are eager and curious to learn. They always have questions to ask or love to share their own personal experiences after something is learned. It is exciting to see how they are always motivated learn something new.

My Project

These primary composition notebooks will allow my kindergarten students increase independence with their writing by being able to demonstrate their drawing skills to match their writing. Their writing and drawings will reflect their ideas of the different writing topics, such as opinion, that will be taught throughout the school year.

The notebooks will, also, keep all their writing in a safe place.

They can be used as a reference to help with different writing units and an easy way to share with others their writing and drawings. At the end of the year, they can look back to see how they have progressed in their writing and drawing throughout the school year.
