My Project

I am interested in incorporating these handheld word mapping tools into our phonics lessons in order to support students understanding of mapping out sounds in words, blending, reading and writing. These handheld boards specifically focus on reading and writing words by using elkonin boxes, which is an evidence-based literacy strategy.

Elkonin boxes are a powerful tool used to help students develop their foundation skills for reading.

Interactive tools, such as Elkonin boxes allow students to become immersed in their learning, which further promotes student success. Please help give me the chance to provide my students with science of reading tools so they can strengthen their reading abilities and become strong lifelong readers.
