My Project

My students come to school with a wide array of experiences and exposure, and sometimes it's hard to structure a program to fit all of their needs. This summer, I intend to do just that. By creating individualized activities and centers that focus on a variety of needs, students will be able to do fun and engaging activities that will be specific to their learning level. These centers will be color coded so that students are able to access materials quickly and have choice in how they practice the skills necessary for them to be successful.

It's important to me that all students who walk through my door feel safe, confident, and able to learn anything.

As a class community, we stress the importance of a growth mindset, how our uniqueness makes our class stronger, and how we all learn at different rates and in different ways. The materials in this project will help me to create a classroom where equity is established by providing each student with the tools they need where they are to be successful.
