My Project

This project will help create an equitable and supportive use of technology in the classroom for students with disabilities by providing an environment for them to get online reading intervention, separate location for students to use speech-to-text as well as provide a window of opportunities for struggling readers.

My goal is to have 8th grade students at or above reading level and ready for the rigor of high school by having all necessary supports in place in 8th grade.

So far students are making strides, but many are below grade level and can benefit from having the technology in an ELA classroom to support on-going-reading intervention. My students are so determined to do well, they will come during lunch and afterschool to ensure their progress with their reading. I would like to further support their desire to become better readers, by having the necessary tools in the classroom to ensure their success.
