Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, I've transitioned into a new role as our middle school's Leadership Electives Teacher. I teach our Student Council, W.E.B "Where Everyone Belongs," Female Leadership, and Ethnic Studies classes. Our student leaders are the ones helping to create community, belonging, and joy on our campus.

I'm requesting supplies for the art projects we'll do in class, as well as snacks to fuel our creativity (and bellies)!

We'll be creating large banners to encourage students to get involved in school-wide events, hosting art-making activities for students/families/staff and painting small canvases with affirmations and inspirational quotes that we will place in classrooms to remind students that they are an important part of our school community.
