My Project

JHS is in the middle of the Salt Lake Valley and draws students from all demographics and cultures. So many of the students in our school have shown an interest in metals as a career and as an artistic process. This medium will open up so many possibilities as a career, as artistic expression and also give them the ability to learn life skills. Jewelry making can be an expensive art program with prices of materials increasing. This donation will give students better materials to make beautiful jewelry.

Students will learn metal working skills in a variety of cold connections like wire wrapping, riveting, piercing and sawing.

They will learn the basics of creating jewelry using principles of design to make interesting and unique works t is not only pretty but they can wear and share with others.
