My Project

The PreK classroom is filled with color and beautiful handmade artwork created by the children. To enhance the environment and help it to become print rich, I like to label everything and provide pictures of the children and their materials. We use photos for just about everything because most of my students are pre-readers. This helps them become independent, confident learners and opens up more possibilities for growth.

Access to a color printer will really make a difference in their opportunities to create meaningful labels and photos in our classroom.

Currently, we only have black and white printing and of course, children are naturally drawn to color. I know this printer will be put to great use in the writing center, art center, and many other areas where children can develop the necessary skills needed in Prek.
