My Students

We are a Title I Magnet and STEAM prep school located in Watts, CA. My students come from diverse backgrounds and are filled with creativity and curiosity. I strive to create an environment with active and engaging learning experiences that fosters students passion for learning. My students are self-motivated and exciting scholars that are ready to tackle the future!

My Project

This guided reading library will help students find a true passion for reading. My students are working extremely hard to progress through reading levels to ensure they meet their end of the year reading goals. Research shows that "when students are provided with opportunities to read books at their independent level, and of their choice, they demonstrate greater growth in their reading and writing".

A leveled library will support students growth and confidence as readers!

These books will ensure that students have access to high quality text at their reading level. A leveled library is crucial to developing lifelong readers and learners!

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.
