My Project
The requested flex seating and calming tools can significantly benefit my students by providing them with a supportive environment that caters to their individual needs and challenges. Flex seating allows students to choose the seating arrangement that best suits their learning style and comfort levels, fostering a sense of autonomy and control. This can be impactful for high-risk students who may struggle with traditional classroom structures or who have difficulty staying engaged for extended periods. Integrating calming tools such as sensory items, relaxation tools or designated quiet spaces can further aid these students in managing stress.
Our goals in implementing these initiatives are twofold: first to improve academic outcomes by reducing barriers to learning and increasing engagement; and second, to foster social-emotional development by promoting self-awareness, self-regulation, and resilience!
What makes my students special is their resilience and potential for growth. Despite facing challenges, they demonstrate remarkable determination and a desire to succeed. By providing them with the right resources, we believe they can overcome obstacles and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. My commitment is to empower these students to become confident learners who are equipped to navigate and contribute positively to their communities.
