My Students

My school is a low-income school with over one third of all students being on free or reduced lunch. My group of students range from advanced STEM ability to resource and special education. They are hard-working, challenging, and diverse students who just need a little boost and a glimpse at a different world. Some of these students live in low-connectivity areas with varied access schedules.

My Project

Everyone in my school knows I am a total nerd. They also know that my classroom is the place to go afterschool if you want to play a fun and strategic board game, use your imagination in Dungeons and Dragons, or just hang out and relax. Then it came to me.

Dungeons and Dragons and board games go together like kids and ice cream!

With these board games, I will be able to not only add some fun and interesting options for my board games club, but also I'll be able to supply additional creative materials for my Dungeons and Dragons club. These synergies will be the ultimate afterschool power!
