Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My classroom is a self-contained kindergarten class.
My student population consists of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities and Intellectual Disabilities.
Working with this population can be difficult, but it is super rewarding within this environment. I teach the most interesting, well-behaved scholars ever! My school is a student-centered environment filled with "World-Class Teachers"! As a team, we are continuously brainstorming ways to evolve as educators, and we are also advocates for family involvement in the learning process!
My Project
It is the second trimester of kindergarten and where have all the pencils and crayons gone? We have practiced writing our names, letters, sight words, CVC words, sentences! We have created beautiful illustrations to go with our writing. The wonderful work my students have done needs to continue with the basics replenished. Brand new pencils, paper, erasers, and grips!
What is left after all our wonderful writing and illustrations are pencils with teeth marks (oh my), erasers have erased their last mistake, and pencils the size of a nub.
The construction paper is also in a sad state with many colors missing. We also have many empty glue and glitter bottles.
Please help our class continue to become developing authors and illustrators by replenishing the basic writing tools of pencils, construction paper, grips, and glue.
