My Students

There is not one word to describe my students, but I will do my best! Most of my students come from low income families. We are a Title I school. I love that most of my students are engaged in Computer Science. They understand that learning Computer Science can be a lot of fun. They also are aware of how important it is to know how to code. What makes them special is they truly respect their teachers who come to work everyday to support them. Their school is their safe haven.

My Project

With this funded project my students will be super excited to learn computer science. They will be able to listen to their projects come alive!

My students will be able to work on their coding projects by using their CS4ALL curriculum.

We will use the headphones on various websites including code.org and scratch.mit.edu. My students are from very low income families and often have to share any type of headphones. It is more important to put food on the table then to spend any money on headphones. Often the students get jealous of other students who have headphones and can get very angry at each other. The headphones will not only excite students but give them the necessary tools to be successful computer scientists.
