Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach at a Title I school where 77.2% of students come from low-income backgrounds, and my transitional kindergarten class includes both general and special education students with diverse strengths and needs. For many, this is their first classroom experience, so I strive to create a structured, engaging, and supportive environment that nurtures curiosity and a love for learning. Through various teaching methods, I help them develop foundational skills essential for their lifelong education. An organized and nurturing space allows my students to feel secure, confident, and ready to thrive.

In a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classroom, organization plays a crucial role in fostering independence, minimizing distractions, and maximizing learning time. To create a structured and accessible environment for my young learners, I am requesting the following organizational materials:

-Lakeshore Lid for Lakeshore Clear-View Storage Box

- Lakeshore Clear-View Bins

- Lakeshore Neon Classroom Supply Caddies

- Teacher Created Resources Oh Happy Day Magnetic Mini Pocket Charts

These storage solutions will help my students easily access learning materials and understand where everything belongs. By implementing clearly labeled bins, supply caddies, and pocket charts, I aim to create a classroom that supports smooth transitions between activities and encourages students to take responsibility for their materials.

Pocket charts will serve as visual learning aids and support daily routines, helping students develop literacy and numeracy skills in an interactive way. Storage bins and caddies will ensure that essential classroom materials are well-maintained and readily available, reducing clutter and enhancing focus.

With these tools, I can create an organized, engaging, and student-friendly classroom where young learners thrive. By fostering independence and responsibility in a well-structured environment, I will help my students build confidence and fully immerse themselves in hands-on learning experiences.
