Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a set of highly driven, diverse learners. This is my first year teaching and we have set the bar extremely high for our students and expect nothing but excellence.

They are being given the opportunity to begin their track towards college, and know that we expect nothing but the highest achievement from them.

They are pushed outside of their comfort zones and are urged to make 100% buy-in. They are told every day that are champions, and we urge them to believe this, not for us, but for them!

My Project

This is the beginning of my second career and I want to ensure that I have all of the resources needed to succeed, not for me but my students. These resources will be used every day during various activities. Creating maps of the world, being able to see things we are discussing, making the learning their own.

I like to make my lessons as visual as possible, in slide shows and on the walls as well.

By giving these students a full, well-rounded classroom, I will set them up to succeed. These materials will allow me to do that and create an immersive educational experience!

The theme for this school year is, "We Are Champions" and for each student to become a champion I will need to lead with my best foot forward. And with your help, I can do that!
