I am a school social worker running two wellness centers at Middle Schools in Long Beach. My students come in to receive mental health and emotional support, participate in groups, learn new skills, receive basic hygiene items, schools supplies, or canned food items, and feel safe when school can often be overwhelming. I want my students to feel like they can take a deep breath the moment they enter the space. I work very closely with teachers, providing support as needed for their students, and I host the Pride club for both schools in the center. Help make these rooms spaces where students feel seen, heard, welcomed, and loved!
