Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are in need of multiple classroom flag holders to hold the flags across our classroom representing various countries that represent the culture of our students. By displaying these flags, I want students to become welcome and feel acknowledged in our learning environment. I am also requesting for Elmers Glue in liquid. I work in a setting where students are pulled out from their general education classroom, and they do not bring essential classroom materials to my classroom. Having multiple basic items such as glue, will allow us to create many projects about identity to begin our school year. By creating a culturally relevant, welcoming classroom, students will be not only feeling welcome, but become proud of their roots to know that a little piece of them is at school.
