This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are ambitious and amazing learners. Currently they are very confused and afraid due to the pandemic and what has been happening, but they are still showing up everyday to learn. They are eager to talk, learn and grow.

My Project

I am requesting these much needed teacher supplies to help me create a virtual classroom space in my home. It is very difficult and unsafe to go back to school right now, I need help in creating a small space where students can still feel like they are in a classroom.

Having a desk that can become a standing desk is really important because it will allow my students to see me for body breaks, for our kinesthetic lessons and allow me to teach for 5 hours online.

The mouse and keyboard will help with the standing desk and will make teaching through powerpoints and online platforms easier.

I am currently using the laptop from my school, so the microphone is not as strong and currently can not hear most of my students. These headphones will allow me to be able to get rid of any distractions and be able to speak and hear my students clearly. These items will help create a small corner of what our classroom used to be and will help motivate me and my students to keep on learning through this pandemic.
