This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The products that I have selected will provide a unique opportunity to reach ALL 6th grade students with Spanish from regardless of their level. This new curriculum will include those who have 0 experience, those have no desire to take Spanish in the future and students with 504 plans and IEPs who are pulled out for many general education classes.

It is my personal goal to hook every student by showing them Spanish is fun and to make them feel successful.

It is also the opportunity to demonstrate EVERY student that knowing Spanish is extremely beneficial for their future.

I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they learn through cultural songs, stories and games. They almost always make good choices, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are following a only-language curriculum.
