Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

After long days of learning, my students tend to feel a variety of emotions. My students are eager to learn, but sometimes their emotions get the best of them. My goal is to create a space for students who need different avenues to release their feelings as well as teach them how to cope with them in a healthy way by using these sensory toys.

Help my students have an outlet to relieve their stress and anxiety by making our relaxation station come to life.

I want my students to use these tools as another way to destress when talking through it isn't enough. With these sensory toys and plushies, my students will have a way to relieve some stress, especially when they come across emotions they do not know how to navigate through just yet. By using these sensory toys, they will become aware of their emotions and learn how to navigate them healthily. This will help my students stay focused throughout the day and will create a safe space in the classroom where students can go and relax their brains.
