This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very willing to learn and are appreciative of how I have helped them grasp the material. Each student is so diligent in getting there work done because someone believes in them now and it is so rewarding to see how much they care about their grade and how they learn what is taught now that I am here with them.

My Project

Many of my students have told me how they haven’t had a stable teacher for many of their high school years so I want to be the teacher they wish they had while getting through high school. I want to prove to them that there are teachers that do still care and want them to succeed in the world. Not for our sakes but for their own. Therefore I want to provide snacks to give them an incentive to participate in class and work toward gaining extra credit points to help their grades. I also am trying to create projects that will be more engaging by using art products to blend their creativity with learning about math. Since I have 6 classes of 35 students, it becomes quite a hassle to keep everyone’s work separated by period so I need an organizing tool to do that as well.
