My Students

I teach the English portion of our school's Spanish Immersion program. This means I have a total of 50 wonderful 5 to 6 year old learners, with two classes of 25 students. I absolutely love teaching language arts and sharing my passion for reading and writing with them. I am so excited when my students learn to read and love to read and write!

My kindergarten students attend a high poverty Pre-K to 5th grade elementary school.

I have a very diverse population of students in my classroom. Many of my students come from high poverty homes and are not given opportunities to engage in appropriate social behaviors with same age peers.

My Project

Help me provide my students with art materials to fill their individual supply bags. These materials are so important to help aid in their creativity as well as pre-writing skills.

With the majority of my students coming from a low income homes, these items are not provided in the supply lists.

Our classrooms are socially distanced due to the virus, therefore each student needs their own supplies and toys. With the help of these additional supplies, I will be able to provide my students with their own bag of school supplies to keep in their cubbies and use the days in which they attend school.
