My Students

I am currently a special education teacher in Brooklyn who teaches students with autism. My students come to school every day with enthusiasm and smiles on their faces. Our school is Title I with most of our students coming from low-income households. All of my students qualify for free lunch. Despite the challenges their families face, these students are eager and ready to learn, and excited to try whatever is in store for the day. Please help me in providing support for these creative and imaginative learners.

My Project

This project means a lot to me. The items on the list will help me build up our sensory, library, and leisure centers. Other items on the list ( such as binder storage center, teaching easel, and magnetic folder bins) are to help with classroom organization. These items will help me create a space that will be less distracting for my students. The large foam manipulatives and phonics activities will make lessons/small group instruction fun and engaging for my tactile, kinesthetic and, visual learners. With your help, I will be able to continue to build up our classroom and enhance our learning environment.
