Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students cannot learn in the classroom if they do not feel motivated to display positive behavior. Behaviors in the classroom can be a distraction for all students, as well as the teachers. Many students miss valuable learning due to their behaviors. My goal is to reward students with preferred items in order to keep the classroom environment conducive to learning.

As someone who works with economically disadvantaged students who have a lot of trauma and behavioral/emotional difficulties, this would greatly benefit my ability to help these kids.

Students receive their chosen reward (fidget, candy, snack) if they receive a certain amount of positive points throughout the day.
