My Project

Our library is quickly becoming a hub for students--but many of them sit on their phones. In hopes of encouraging students to express themselves, I am asking for a button maker, a puzzle board, and puzzles. These resources will allow students to make their own buttons to foster creativity as well as help them to promote their clubs and other passions. Our students love puzzles. But they get so frustrated when the puzzle pieces get lost. The puzzle board will help to keep all the pieces together as well as promote students to collaborate.

These tools will inspire innovation by providing a space where students can experiment, create, and learn by doing.

The makerspace will allow interdisciplinary projects where students can apply concepts from numerous subject in a practical setting.

It is my hope that creating a makerspace in the library will enhance student learning and innovation.
