My Project

I have the most wonderful, excited and vibrant group of children in our school. I love their energy! The materials will help us to provide fun and meaningful learning experiences for them. They like to be highly engaged and hands-on with materials. They enjoy each other’s company and prefer to work in their small groups. So, having these materials will help us to do more meaningful learning activities plus create a conducive learning environment where all have access to the resources they need.

Our aim is to raise the exam scores.

So, on any given day, If you should walk into our class you would see students using manipulatives in math class, collaborating to solve problems and taking notes. In an effort to ensure they have a foundational and conceptual understanding of mathematical procedures, we need items such as rulers, protractors, cubes, dry erase markers and dry erase pocket folders.(for fluency practice).

At times they lose track and focus while doing tasks, so a timer and clock would be helpful. The classroom clock doesn't work. Having a door chime will help us with managing traffic and keep up with our busy students. Providing a rigorous and respectful learning environment is necessary for them to succeed.
