Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year I have taken the position of being a Literacy Art teacher. This involves using a creative project based curriculum to help students receive a deeper understanding of literacy.

As a first year teaching, I am looking to create a safe, warm, and creative classroom that allows students to feel comfortable to explore.

After having great success raising money for my class Solar System project, I now want to better equip my room with the different tools and manipulative to give my students with the creative outlet them need.

My Project

This project as created to meet the needs of all my students by equipping my room with the day to day supply's my students need to complete their work. As a beginner teacher I put a lot of hand made posters and charts in my room to bring it to life as a safe learning place for my students.

Each of these items was carefully picked out for it's versatility and creative potential in the classroom.

Each item will go to helping all my students whether its in Kindergarten or they are in 5th grade.

The clip boards, dry erasers, and dry erase pads will help students work all over the room with different groups of students. The poster boards, colored pencils, and markers are for my 4th and 5th graders who are going to do a project on the human body. This along with the amazing x-rays will give them a cool look into what we are made of!

The word and sentence games/blocks are for my 1st and 2nd graders who need a little bit of an assistance when it comes to forming complete sentences. I have seen the benefits of these types of manipulatives and I am very eager to have students piece together sentences!
