My Project

One of the most beautiful things a teacher can witness in their classroom is a student enjoying a book. Even more beautiful is seeing students enjoying books with a friend. Several of my 4th students naturally gravitate towards books, and will ask frequently for permission to read my duplicate books with partners. They will search through my shelves to find books with multiple copies, and then they gather on the floor or grab a scoop rocker to read around the classroom.

Because of their natural desire to read with friends, I would like to use the materials from this Donors Choose to provide a comfortable space for them to do so.

The rotating bookshelf is intended for the duplicate books that I currently have in my library, so that partners or groups will be able to see their choices in one convenient space. Then, they can choose a seat on the Futon or pull the bean bags next to each other to create a comfortable place to read together. Thank you so much for your support!
