My Project

My co-teacher and I want to create a comfortable and welcoming space in our classroom to foster independent reading throughout senior year. We are asking for materials to create a living room. It will have cozy chairs, ample lighting, a rug that really ties the room together as well as side tables that give the students a charging station.

In creating this space we believe this will promote a feeling of both community and safety in our classroom.

With your help, we can begin to make this space that seniors will ultimately be able to make their own for reading, reflecting, and relaxing.
