My Project

A classroom should be a welcoming place where students are comfortable enough to put all their attention towards learning. My students are in need of a comfortable place to sit and come together for lessons and reading. One of their favorite times of day is independent reading time. They enjoy spreading out on the floor and getting a break from their cold, hard desks to do their independent reading and group work. A nice, new, clean rug with boundaries will help all 27 of them flexibly sit and read or listen comfortably. Furthermore, it will help them stay in their spot during a lesson, keeping their attention on what they are learning!

Please help me provide a warm, comfortable, classroom community.

Flexible seating will help keep my students engaged and thriving each and every day. The stackable stools will help me reach and fit more students at my round table. They will also be available for flexible seating around the room. The heavy, metal desk chairs take up a lot of space, limiting the number of students I can work with at the table, and they are not easy to move.

Lastly, to help practice their skills and encourage them to read daily, I find it necessary to provide my students with a library full of books that they want to read and teach them important life skills and lessons. Adding new books to our library will help keep them engaged and wanting to read more! Plus, they will further enrich my students on topics they are learning about. With your help, my students will strengthen their skills and love for reading! Who doesn't love a new book? I would sincerely appreciate your help providing my students with comfortable seating and new books for them to enjoy!
