My Project

Project Description:

Dear Donors,

Our Dual Credit/Teaching and Education program is committed to preparing the next generation of educators who will make a significant impact on the lives of students. We are reaching out to you for support in enhancing our learning environment to better meet the diverse needs of our Title 1 students and create an atmosphere that mimics a college classroom.

Project Needs:

To create a college-like atmosphere in our classroom, we need five sturdy tables where students can work collaboratively, engage in discussions, and complete assignments. These tables will help instill a sense of academic responsibility and readiness for college and career life.

Our teaching students intern with Pre-K students to gain valuable teaching experience. We need a selection of engaging toys and age-appropriate books to facilitate active play and learning interactions. These resources will help our future educators develop their teaching skills and promote social and emotional health and learning in the young children . To ensure the smooth running of our classroom and support effective teaching and learning, we require office supplies such as , organizational tools, and other miscellaneous items.

Creating an atmosphere that mirrors a college classroom will better prepare our students for academic life in college and careers. This project aligns with Teaching and Training standards 6.2.1 and 6.2.5 by fostering an environment that is physically, emotionally, and intellectually safe, as well as promoting social and emotional health and learning.
