Creating a Collaborative Classroom

My Project

My classroom currently contains traditional desks that are mostly too small and not conducive to collaboration. My students are great in that they work with what have when we work collaboratively but our desks are outdated, small, and awkward when students form groups. I teach AP classes and all my students work hard all year to prepare for the AP exam. We often work together to create writing workshops with conferences and peer editing. I have found that these workshops produce the best results and allow my students to grow and improve their skills. With better seating, the classroom setting will better support our hard work.
