My Students

I work in a multi-cultural school and my class has a diverse population of students.

They often require graphic organizers and other teacher created resources to help break down information.

They also need extra time to complete assignments, and have difficulty taking notes. They want to learn, but they don't always have someone to motivate them. They often go home to empty houses because their parents are working or their parents don't understand the classwork and are unable to help them.

My Project

My students recently read and were captivated by the first book in the Among the Hidden series. I would like to get the second book in the series so they can continue to enjoy good literature while improving their reading and writing skills.

Among the Imposters is a suspenseful novel about children their age that will motivate my students to want to read.

The first book ended with a cliffhanger, and my students are eager to learn what happens next in the series. I will use the ink cartridge to create resources to supplement the readings and keep my students engaged through out the novel.
