Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Comfortable seating such as bean bag chairs allow students to choose their preferred space, promoting physical comfort and reducing stress. When students feel physically comfortable they are better able to focus, process information, and engage in learning.

Research shows that calming, nature-based visuals can help improve focus, reduce fatigue, and support mental clarity.

Calming decor, such as soft LED lighting and nature-themed posters helps create a serene and welcoming environment. A classroom that feels visually peaceful can have a significant impact on students' emotional well-being.

The primary goal of this project is to create a welcoming and calm classroom environment where students feel emotionally safe and supported. By reducing environmental stressors, students can better manage their mental health and are more likely to succeed academically.

Providing spaces that support mental health will help students improve their focus and ability to engage in learning. Students who are less anxious and more comfortable are better able to absorb information and participate in classroom activities.

The project is designed to accommodate different learning needs, including those of students with anxiety, ADHD, or sensory processing challenges.

By achieving these goals, this project will create a space where students not only feel safe and supported but are also equipped with the emotional tools to thrive both in school and beyond.
