Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a Kindergarten ICT classroom which integrates general education students with students that have learning disabilities such a autism/ADHD/sensory. My classroom is full of acceptance and love. I teach all my students that we are all unique and different and we must show compassion for each other in how we look, act and learn. I modify our classroom to fit the needs of all my students. I believe a calming classroom environment plays a crucial role in promoting student well-being and academic success. To enhance the ambiance of our class, I would love to have oil diffusers and light fixture covers to eliminate eye strain and headaches among some of my students. The oil diffuser will help promote relaxation and reduce stress levels. The essential oils such as lavender, chamomile and eucalyptus has been shown to have calming effects that can improve focus and concentration. Additionally, I can replace the harsh fluorescent light fixtures with light covers that diffuse the light, reducing glare and minimizing eye strain. By supporting this project, you will contribute to the overall success and happiness in our room! I am confident that these implementations will result in a more positive, calming, and productive educational environment.
