My Project

The classrooms in our school all have a calm down corner. My calm down corner has been a space on the floor behind a writing easel. It has worked but leaves much to be desired both visually and functionally.

As I seek ways to develop a space that is welcoming and safe for students I recognize the need to create a calm down corner that is clearly defined.

With this project I will define a new location for our calm down corner. The funds from this project will be used to purchase a rug, chairs, small table, and lamp. These items help give a clear defined area for the calm down corner rather than a hidden spot on the floor.
