My Project

Second grade can be very demanding and overwhelming for some of my students. The curriculum is very rigorous and the learning process is very demanding.

I would like to provide my students with a calm area to help them regulate their emotions.

The Lakeshore Wipe Answer Boards and the Lakeshore Write and Wipe Mini Boards will allow my students to express their feeling through words/pictures in a very low affective filter. The Lakeshore Thin Line Markers will allow my students to have the necessary tools to be able to access the dry-erase boards on a daily basis without disrupting the learning environment. The Superbright Tagboard will allow my students to create posters to help develop important social-emotional posters to share in a calm space. The 6 Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats will allow me to create an inviting calm space and environment in my classroom.

I would like to provide a safe and comfortable space for my second-grade students to help regulate their emotions. I would like to provide various strategies to help students with their emotions.
