My Project

At our Title I school, we are proud to have a diverse and unique group of students, many of whom are multi-language learners. They bring with them a rich array of cultural experiences, but they also face challenges that can impact their emotional and social well-being. I am seeking your support to create a calming environment that will help students regulate their emotions, as well as to provide updated, diverse reading materials that reflect their experiences.One aspect of this project focuses on creating a "Calm Down Corner" within our classroom.

This designated space will provide students with a quiet, peaceful area equipped with sensory tools, stress-relief items, and calming visuals.

It will allow them to take a moment when overwhelmed and learn how to manage their emotions in a positive way.

In addition to the Calm Down Corner, this project will help transform our classroom library with new furniture and organizational materials. These additions will provide a more inviting and structured space for students to explore books. Comfortable seating options like bean bags or small chairs will encourage students to read in a cozy environment, while shelves, baskets, and storage units will help organize the books in a way that's easy for all students to access. With a well-organized and inviting library, students will be able to take ownership of their reading, feel more engaged, and foster a love of learning that will contribute to their academic and emotional growth.

By providing these resources, I hope to support the social and emotional well-being of my students, ensuring that they feel safe, valued, and heard in our classroom. Your contribution will make a lasting impact on their ability to manage emotions, connect with others, and succeed academically.
