My Project

These supplies will enable our US History classroom to warmly invite students into learning. Our school was originally built as a courthouse and has strong industrial lighting, small desks, and analog clocks many students are no longer taught to read. Different lights, clocks, seating, and fidget tools will help students feel welcomed into learning.

These supplies will transform the classroom into a comfortable space so students can focus on learning.

Soft lights will enable us to avoid using industrial lighting. Digital clocks will enable students on all sides of the room to know the time. Two standing desks will provide flexible seating for students who benefit from different kinds of seating or struggle to focus in small desks and chairs all day. A diffuser will eliminate some of the smells that occur throughout the day in a high school with a gym on the top floor. Fidget tools and pencil grips will provide students with ways to maintain their focus on classwork. Preparing for Regents and AP US History exams are no easy task, and students deserve the best positive environment for their learning.
