Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I'm a high school math teacher and I teach students that come from a low-income family. My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects, and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Seeing them persevere and struggle through each problem makes me proud because they’re giving math a try. Truly, they are my inspiration!

My Project

Technology is such a big part of everyday life for everyone. Without technology, it can be difficult to reach the youth of today. The use of a laptop is an everyday occurrence. A laptop would allow me to provide instruction to my virtual and in-person learners. The students will be able to access visuals, videos, and online programs and activities at the speed of a few keystrokes. Students would also use the laptop to watch interactive demos and models. My students will use this to learn at a much faster rate.

Technology is the language of youth today.

They will be able to access technology and more in-depth lessons.
