Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In my first-grade classroom, every student is special and valued in their own and unique way. By teaching first grade in the same Title I school over the last five years, I've taken joy in being a part of a special school community where students, families, and teachers work together to give all kids a strong social-emotional and academic foundation. We all have the same goal in mind: we want to help every learner bring out their creativity. My hope is that every student continues to shine and becomes something amazing one day!

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting are for our class to be a safe and welcoming classroom environment. This year our classroom theme is about being kind and spreading kindness around our community, class, and school. The bulletin board paper will be used to bring color to our classroom. The borders will be put around the bulletin boards as decoration. Pencils are nice and sharp to make us better writers. The markers will be used to help us form our letters correctly. Furniture will be used as flexible seating to help our students learn the best way possible.
