This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are excited to request a Cricut machine for our students, particularly those involved in our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program and the Culture Club. This innovative tool will empower them to create beautiful, personalized art for various events and projects throughout the school year. By using the Cricut, students will not only enhance their creativity but also develop essential skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and project management as they collaborate on art pieces that reflect their unique cultural backgrounds and emotional experiences. The ability to bring their ideas to life through this technology will foster a sense of pride and ownership in their work, making their learning experience more engaging and meaningful

Our primary goal for this project is to create an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and inspired to express themselves through art.

The Cricut will serve as a bridge for students to connect with one another, share their stories, and celebrate their diverse cultures. What makes our students special is their resilience and creativity, particularly those in our SEL program, who often face unique challenges. By providing them with the tools to express their emotions and cultural identities through art, we aim to not only enhance their artistic skills but also support their social and emotional growth. This project will ultimately cultivate a stronger sense of community within our school, promoting understanding and appreciation for each other's backgrounds and experiences.
