My Project

I believe these educational tools will make a difference in my students science and engineering education. Magna-Tiles and other building tools are exciting and fun for students. However, they are also a fantastic educational tool because they will engage my students in hands-on learning that promotes creativity, problem-solving, and spatial awareness. When students have an opportunity to build they are not only constructing physical structures, but they are also developing critical thinking skills as they figure out how to balance pieces, create stable designs, and experiment with symmetry and geometric shapes. This process will help my students gain a deeper understanding of basic math concepts like shapes, angles, and patterns in a fun, interactive way. It also allows them to express their creativity and engage in imaginative play, which can boost their confidence and foster a love for learning.

My overall goal for this project is to be able to provide my students with the opportunity to be creative and exploration hands-on building experiences in a meaningful way.

My students are highly creative and speak 5 different home languages. Thus, when given the opportunity to work together on hands-on projects, it provides them with a special opportunity to communicate and connect with one another.
